Technical Diving allows you to extend your diving beyond recreational โno stopโ limits. This allows you to plan longer dives at shallower depths, or to plan dives to more advanced depths and locations
Diverโs Paradise is located in pristine Key Biscayne, a hidden gem found just minutes outside of downtown Miami and Miami Beach, yet offers an island-like atmosphere of seclusion and relaxation. We offer daily spectacular diving and snorkeling experiences to the reefs and wrecks that are just minutes from our dock. There are more than 60 diveable wrecks including ships, tugs, barges, army tanks, oil platforms and a plethora of rock piles, pipes and the world famous Neptune Memorial Site-all within minutes from our location.ย
Q: How, when, and why did you first start diving?
A: I started scuba diving because of the military. I started diving in the army as a combat diver, and then I got my Divemaster certification when I realized that I really enjoyed it- that was in 1997. I stuck with diving because it is extremely therapeutic, and after I finished my time with the military, I found out that I liked teaching scuba as well.
Q: What do you do at Diverโs Paradise? How did you end up here?
A: I am a dive instructor, boat crew, and diesel mechanic at Diverโs Paradise. Iโve worked at multiple dive shops as a dive instructor, all the way from West Palm to the Keys. Diverโs Paradise just felt like the perfect fit- I just absolutely fell in love with the place.
Q: What is your favorite dive site in Miami?
A: I donโt really have one favorite spot- I like the fact that we have access to TONS of wrecks from Key Biscayne, and wreck diving is definitely my favorite type of diving to do. You could dive every day and still not hit every one of the wrecks that we have here.
